The Symphonic Winds concert band is the symphonic arm of the JACB. We rehearse on the first and third Mondays during the Spring and Fall semesters from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the band room in Jennings Hall at Union University.
If you are new to the area, of high-school age or older, and can read and play grade 3 (or higher) music, please come check us out and bring your instrument! We have room for all instrumentation, especially percussion. To encourage our young musicians, dues for new high school and college students are WAIVED for the first year or first two semesters.
The Jackson Swing Orchestra plays “big band” music and rehearses from 7:00 to 8:30 PM on the second and fourth Mondays during the Spring and Fall semesters in the band room in Jennings Hall at Union University. Swing Orchestra membership is limited to availability of openings and requires an invitation from the director.
